Staging a Vacant Kitchener Condo

Rooms in Bloom Home Staging & Design Inc. was contacted just before Christmas by a savvy Realtorr who was going to be listing a Kitchener condo in January. He knew it was going to be vacant and he understood that investing in staging was going to add definition, function and appeal to this unit. We previewed the condo when the unit was still tenanted by renter who would be moving out prior to the property being listed for sale. It was our job to prep the condo by having it freshly painted and minor repairs done as well as fully stage it. Here are the results:

This area which was directly connected to the kitchen area was flexible living space and had been most commonly used as a living area because of the fireplace. As the staging needed to appeal to the type of buyer who would want to live in the unit and not rent it out, we opted to go with a dining area instead. This would allow buyers to see how well they could live and entertain in this unit.

The den area was another potential but undefined area. For our target demographics, we opted to showcase this area as an inviting seating area which could easily have a wall mounted TV added for functionality. We also deliberately left the area between the kitchen and sitting spaces open – this helped showcase the stunning view and gave easy access to the balcony doors.

In the bedroom, we kept it simple by flowing the color palette from the main area into this space. All our decor choices complimented and accentuated the built-in shelving unit in this area.

This condo got an offer within 14 days of staging and has been sold, firm, in under 30 days. The other units in this building which were up for sale when we staged, remain unsold. The combination of a savvy realtor, a client willing to invest in staging and our award-winning staging team got amazing results.
